In a garden our size? Probably not very much. Small plots like DHS don't add up to much in the grand scheme of things -- large areas of crops (in the hundreds of thousands of acres) absolutely require crop rotation.
I read something interesting in the news yesterday.. A Canadian farmer found a way to capture carbon fumes from his 400hp equipment, and inject into the soil as it was tilled. In so doing he hasn't had the need to put any nitrogen in the ground. Article & pictures: http://www.impactlab.com/2009/11/01/plowing-carbon-into-the-fields/
These clover sew nitrogen into the soil, right? I wonder how many pounds of nitrogen per pounds of seed...
